LAST CHANCE for $100
BRANDact Aligned Prosperity
from the Aligning your BRAND
Workbook

Hi [[FirstName]]
WOULD
YOU BELIEVE ALL THAT RAIN
THIS WEEK! If you
live in Los Angeles, you know what I mean. It rained so
hard it bored a hole in my brand-new roof. Oh,
well! I've always wanted to do my intuitive sessions in
a pale green room. So painting is
one of my New Year's
resolutions.
Have you made some resolutions
this year to move your career
forward? I know we're a little in limbo
because of the writer's strike, but that doesn't
mean you can't make some plans to meet that Casting
Director, audition for that agent or get those new pictures or
demo reel done. Plans to get you out of you comfort
zone and into success mode.
To that end,
today I'm sending
you
an article
from my Aligning your BRAND Workbook.
And
next week, I'm going to send you
an EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW with Larry Silverberg, author of
The Sanford Meisner Approach Workbooks.
You're in for a treat
. . . his story of fearlessly following his passion is totally
inspiring!
Oh, and do me . . . and
yourself . . . a favor. Go here to read some great things
actors have to say about Act Intuitive.
[NOTE:
Some words in this e Zine have been disguised to
avoid triggering sp^m filters.]

Start the New Year Right! Grab
BRANDact Branding for Actors for only $100 until January
15th
Once actors name and
claim their talent, their careers soar. Actors who have taken
my BRANDact workshops have gone on to star in
award-winning Indies, BBC miniseries and TV episodics.
I stopped doing workshops early this
year. And for a long
time offered my individual branding package for the workshop
price . . . $100. But I
just can't do that anymore! Because branding
can be an intense and lengthy personal process. And it may take a
few hours on the phone or in person
for us to arrive at a branding
statement. In the workshop, it took a whole day.
So,
unfortunately, I MUST raise the cost for
this career-making process to $197 beginning January 16th.
But right now you can get it for $100 FOR A LIMITED
TIME
ONLY!
You don't have to
begin right away. As long as you call me
at 323-225-9850 or e-mail me at
jill@actingintuitive.com and pay the $100 fee by January
15th. Once I get payment by credit card or check, I'll
e-mail you the complete version of 7 Steps to BRANDact
You to get the process started.
You can finish it whenever you want . . . there's no time
limit. So call or e-mail me today! Or
go here to find out more.
Or if you'd
like to do the home branding course instead, you can get
the entire BRANDact do-it-yourself acting success system for
$39. Go here to get it now at the pre-internet price.
Also, check out
the other things I do . . .
intuitive sessions and individual acting coaching.

Aligned Prosperity from the
Aligning your BRAND
Workbook
|
 |
After I created the BRANDact workshop,
I felt the need to offer actors both concrete
and psychic career-making tools fingertip-ready in one dynamic
volume. So I combined spiritual methods and manifesting
techniques recently made popular by "The
Secret" and "What the Bleep Do You
Know"
with
proven ShowBiz marketing strategies. The
result was the 88-page Aligning your BRAND
Workbook . Below is one of its section
introductions. Go
here to find out more about getting it and to follow li~nks to read more
excerpts from the book.
Put blinders on those
things that conspire to hold you back, especially the ones
in your own head. - Meryl Streep
This section is probably the most important in the workbook. Because if you don't totally believe that you can prosper in ShowBiz . . . if you don't rate yourself a "10" on a scale of one to ten that you have every confidence that you will succeed in your acting career . . . then you probably won't!
I
remember long ago starring in my first sitcom pilot. It was a
lengthy and complicated shoot fraught with a lot of problems.
Everyone was pleased with my work and said that I behaved like
a professional.
But I
also remember driving to Malibu later that day and sitting on
the sand and thinking that if they picked up the series I'd be
a star. And then I wondered if I was ready for all that. The
more I sat, the more I doubted myself. The pilot never got
picked up. And I've always been concerned that I helped create
that failure.
On the
other hand, I've known many "10s". And seen what having total
confidence in your success can do for you. For example, I knew
Debra Winger years ago when she was waiting tables at the
Improvisation comedy club in Hollywood. What always
struck me about her was that she never doubted that she was
going to make it. Soon after that, she beat out 300 other
actresses for her breakthrough role in Urban Cowboy.
And has been successful ever since. Even through a contract
buyout and a six-year career hiatus.
One of
my students, James Evans, is also a "10"! Jim is fearless
about his acting career. He did 40 films in the year that he
studied with me, has a regular recurring role on General
Hospital and works constantly. He also directs short films. Jim never
stops, even though he works full-time at a "real job" and is
in his 40s.
Jim is also one
of the kindest, most generous people I know. Just
last week, e-mailed me to say that he was sad
to see I wasn't teaching classes anymore because he "would not
be an actor today" without my tutelage. He ended the e-mail with "you
will always be my first acting coach." If you read
the gratitude articles in my last eZine (go
here if you haven't), this
is a sterling example of gratitude and prosperity
consciousness in action!
All successful people, whether they're
in ShowBiz or not, approach their lives and businesses with an
internal prosperity consciousness. Every
individual creates an expansion or constriction of energy. If
you truly believe that you'll be successful, you expand your
energy flow. But any doubting thought or action constricts the
flow of energy.
Most
actors constrict energy around prosperity. I recently met an
actor who said to me, "I've only been on three auditions this
year and my agent never calls me". Every time I hear that . .
. and I hear it a lot . . . I remember that most actors live
in a "starving artist" mindset. Choosing acting as a
profession may reinforce this mindset; that may even be why
you chose it. After all, acting is a profession of
rejection.
So, how
do you get out of that constricted mindset? Well, it takes
effort, awareness and perseverance. But it is doable. We're so
conditioned, like the actor above, to see things only one way
in our lives. It's safer. But it won't make you an acting
success. Remember that acting is an art AND a business. And
needs to be treated like both.
And it always amazes
me that actors, who spend most of their lives out of their
comfort zone when they act, often spend the rest in safe
poverty consciousness. I'm going to tell you a little secret,
one taught to me by Outrageous Business Growth
guru,
Debbie Bermont:
In
order to be successful, you must be uncomfortable on a regular
basis!
You do
it already as an actor! Now do it as an Actor-Business! So
let's set a goal today to get uncomfortable. And it's okay if
you want to do this in baby steps. You know, as an actor, that
if you keep slowly expanding your expressive envelope that
eventually you'll feel safe expressing whatever you need to
express to make the role work. This is exactly the same thing!
